A native of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Thomas Kelly began his world travels as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal 1978. He has worked as a photo-activist documenting the struggles of marginalized people, Himalayan Yogis and disappearing cultural traditions around the world. Thomas has shared his nuanced worldview through work that has appeared in National Geographic, BBC, New York Times, Newsweek, and more. He is the photographer of 10 photo books and teaches community workshops fostering youth empowerment and leads photo workshops in Nepal, Tibet, India and Mongolia. Having worked and lived 44 years in Asia, he possesses a deep level of cultural knowledge and is excited to share his perspectives about Himalayan Sadhus and Yogis with Yangchenma Arts & Music.
