“Maha Bhekanze” is a music mantra inspired by and offered to the Medicine Buddha.

Created and recorded live by Grammy-nominated artist Tenzin Choegyal and Simone Giuliani in Brisbane (Australia) and Los Angeles (California, USA), it's a music offering conceived for Losar.

Tenzin Choegyal is a Tibetan artist, composer, activist, musical director and cultural ambassador. Born to a family of Tibetan nomads, Tenzin Choegyal was forced into exile in India as his family fled the repression in Tibet. His music collaborations include Laurie Anderson, Jesse Paris Smith, Philip Glass and international performances at Carnegie Hall and WOMAD. In 2008 Tenzin founded the annual Festival of Tibet in Brisbane, Australia, which showcases Tibetan culture through music, film, art and discussion.  Through his music and cultural activities such as the Brisbane Festival of Tibet, Himalayan Film Festival and Women with Wisdom concert series (Sydney Opera House, Federation Square) Tenzin shares the Tibetan story of what it really means in being human.

Simone Giuliani is the Artistic Director of Yangchenma Arts & Music. He’s an award-winning music producer, composer and musical director born in Florence, Italy and based in Los Angeles. He has worked with Andrea Bocelli, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra,  Cibo Matto, Groove Collective, Bisan Toron, Jovanotti, Monday Michiru, Drukmo Gyal and many more artists. He served as the Music Director and as a conductor of the symphonic concert “Music for Mercy” created by UNESCO for Pope Francis' Year of the Jubilee.
